Orphaned references in Proston

[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Proston's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "qpnt":

  • From Blackbutt, Queensland: "Blackbutt (town) (entry 2987)". Queensland Place Names. Queensland Government. Retrieved 21 December 2013.
  • From Taabinga, Queensland: "Taabinga – town in South Burnett Region (entry 33041)". Queensland Place Names. Queensland Government. Retrieved 26 December 2017.
  • From Windera, Queensland: "Windera – town in South Burnett Region (entry 37651)". Queensland Place Names. Queensland Government. Retrieved 29 December 2017.
  • From Kingaroy: "Kingaroy (town) (entry 18214)". Queensland Place Names. Queensland Government. Retrieved 13 May 2014.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 02:06, 31 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

The line in support of reference 35 should either be in past tense or removed entirely

[edit]

The line "The locals have dances every week at the Public Hall." in the Sport and recreation segment is no longer accurate, the town has not held a weekly dance in over 10 years, if not longer and I believe this source () should be taken lightly as I do believe the sight has not been updated in quite some time.

I can in fact confirm this as I live within the area and have never seen a dance in quite a long time Intense Pretzel (talk) 12:17, 12 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
