Translation Matters

[edit]

The English translations of eulogies and references are my own personal work and may not be completely accurate due to my inadequate mastery of Classical Chinese. I have translated the Chinese text for the Sillok and marked them in parenthesis for easy reference for those who do not read Chinese. All eulogies are my original translations with interpretations explained in the references marked with "Translator's note". I have tried my best to be as meticulous as possible but if you find anything dubious, please point it out here or on my user page. Your help will be greatly appreciated. minor revisions

[edit]

I made one small correction to the text. It said that the princess "did not conceive any children of her own," but according to Lady Hyegyeong's memoirs she died during childbirth. So I tweaked that paragraph accordingly, and added "during childbirth" to the sentence giving the date of death.

I also added to the first paragraph to clarify that the princess was Yeongjo's third daughter overall, in case the reader had any confusion over the mention later on of her older half-sister Princess Hwasun. byamrcn 22:24, 15 July 2023 (UTC)  Preceding unsigned comment added by Byamrcn (talkcontribs)
