PVIFA is used in calculations such as PVA or Present Value of Ordinary Annuity with a formula such as

PVAi,n = R (PVIFAi,n)

where R is the periodic receipt i is the interest rate n is the number of periods

The formula to find PVIFAi,n is

On my site I host tables for FVIF, FVIFA, FVIFAD, PVIF, PVIFA, PVIFAD along with a google gadgets and a MS Windows calculator.

FVIFAD refers to Future Value Interest factor of $1 for Annuity Due PVIFAD refers to Present Value Interest factor of $1 for Annuity Due

The PVIFA formula can be deducted from the Geometric progression sum formula:

Maybe this should be included.
