Gender etc

Currently the article is a bit confusing regarding Precious Wilson's gender. And of course BLP applies.

The lead says Precious Wilson started out as a backing singer for the all-male group Eruption. (my emphasis) But a later paragraph starts out She co-wrote the title song of her debut album.... (again my emphasis)

There is no doubt in my mind that she is female. But I am struggling to find reliable secondary sources to back this. Primary sources, blogs etc are copious, and indicate that she was married to a Michael Herzog in 2015, but is now divorced. But none of that is from citeable sources, and it may not even be accurate.

She owns and has been using the name Eruption for of her live shows with a band, which is also confusing, as that article lists her as lead singer 1974–79.

There's a similar error when she's called an "artiste." That is not the word for a female artist, it means something else in English. It diminishes her artistry. While it's true that she performed for live audiences, her studio work and her vocal styling are artistry. El Cubedo (talk) 16:59, 7 December 2025 (UTC)Reply
