The edit summary:

Add clarification template to a meaningless sentence:

"The potential gradient is relatively abrupt, since there is an almost definite boundary between the metal and solution, hence the term interface."

(in the hope someone can rewrite it),

some slight rewriting,
try the {{math}} template
changed headings (the first section used algebra, one-variable elementary calculus, then vector calculus, the next section continued vector calculus... so just split into 1d and 3d).
