I looks like a meteor crashed into the earth at Malebo Pool. The feature may be an impact crater. 00:08, 30 September 2006 (UTC) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by GhostofSuperslum (talkcontribs) 00:08, 30 September 2006.

What is the reason for the depression? Some old impact craters on Earth have a ring, filled with water. For example Manicouagan and Siljan. A structure on Mars, similar to the Pool Malebo, is shown here: HRSCview data explorer. -- Zumthie (talk) 22:15, 12 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

We explain the old name "Stanley Pool" but we do not explain its current name! 2A00:23C5:FE1C:3701:3047:5F1F:BE0D:3B50 (talk) 14:56, 31 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
