Parrot
[edit]Should there be an entry here for "comlon tranditional Engloshh name for a (usually pet) parrot"? It has been claimed, for example, that the generic name “Pol” for a parrot can be traced back in England to at least the early 1600s, e.g. Ben Jonson's 1606 comedy Volpone.
