Confirmed?

[edit]

If the release is supposedly confirmed, then why is it in qoutes ('confirmed')? That makes it confusing. Either it's confirmed or not.Peter Tangney 18:34, 27 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Because although such a promise was made, it has yet to be fulfilled. --172.202.94.79 19:39, 29 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Will this ever come to America?

Criticism

[edit]

I don't know about the Play-Yan, but the Nintendo MP3 Player released in the UK is an awful, awful, awful piece of equipment. I can overlook the protruding cartridge (but only just - what happened to the Japanese talent/penchant/obsession for clean lines and miniaturisation, and why waste space with a second headphone jack?!), I can ignore the lack of touchscreen support, but I simply cannot and will not overlook the appalling sound quality, inability to listen to music and play a game at the same time, and the need to buy and insert an SD card (would it have been so difficult to build-in 1GB of flash?). I am not alone on this: just look at the bad reviews across johnny-interweb. An absolutely terrible peripheral and I have given mine away. I suggest you all avoid like the plague and force Nintendo to release a good player - with video support - for our fantastic little handheld. 86.17.211.191 00:06, 12 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Back then a gig of flash would have been expensive. At the time, there wasn't even a 1 GB game on a solid state medium. DS still doesn't have a 512 MB game and only has 2 256 MB games, and they use cheaper mediums than flash. There's a reason consoles switched away from solid state, the costs make it horrible for developers.

In one version of Play-Yan, the left and right audio channels were swapped. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.93.45.213 (talk) 07:24, 5 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

We need a page for the character, not just the media player!

[edit]

If Play-Yan himself has a page for the games he appears in, why not a page for himself? Why does Spunky the dog have one, but not Play-Yan? Anyway, Play-Yan does need a page for himself. I hope someone can put a picture of him there as well! GingerTheDogYT (talk) 20:16, 13 November 2020 (UTC)Reply

I agree, however, this page does list information on the character. 2603:6080:D500:A4FA:B8AD:9337:E28E:75F5 (talk) 15:47, 2 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

Please don't call him a media player!

[edit]

he hates when he gets called a media player GingerTheDogYT (talk) 23:13, 13 November 2020 (UTC)Reply

Are the years in the games list really necessary?

[edit]

All of the games were released in 2005, so couldn't a not just be added to the top or bottom? | NJ (talk) 12:39, 10 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
