Minecraft?
[edit]I was surprised by the fact this article doesn't mention Minecraft (2011) even a single time, despite the fact it is one of the most famous video games of all time and uses pixel art for all the items, blocks, and creatures. Is it excluded because of technicalities around "pixel" vs "voxel", or some other reason? NicolinoChess31415926 (talk) 01:17, 28 April 2024 (UTC)
- If a reliable source about pixel art mentions Minecraft, then it can be used to add such a mention. —andrybak (talk) 02:14, 28 April 2024 (UTC)
I call into question the claim 'Oekaki is a type of Pixel Art.'
[edit]There are zero formal or informal citations that even related to Oekeai boards, or anything. The principle of "rough free-hand raster drawings is different than Pixel Art" is roughly correct, but who claimed that these type of drawings were called "Oekaki". Wouldn't these be called "sketch style", since there is a connection between paper sketches, and the history of computer art packages like Amiga's Deluxe Paint—notable examples of hand drawn art being Earth Worm Jim, and animations by Eric Schwartz.
