the article reads:

The closest relative of Piscobalaena appears to have been Herpetocetus, from the Mio-Pliocene of the northern hemisphere.[citation needed]

Berta (2017)^[1] has Herptocetus and Nannocetus sister to each other and Piscobalaena sister to those two, but notes some variation in the literature. I I'm going to cut this line for now, until there is better resolution in the Cetotheriidae-- and folks can look there for a loose classification in the meantime.

it appears there are several citation needed tags here. I started pulling at threads but didn't finish. These might be helpful though:
