Merges?

[edit]

The articles Cadae and Cadaeic Cadenza were proposed for deletion by @Just Step Sideways for a lack of significant coverage. I haven't found a lot of in-depth discussion of either (but perhaps I was looking in the wrong place), but certainly they are mentioned (if not discussed in detail) in a lot of books about pi. At worst, Cadae and Cadaeic Cadenza are good redirect titles to pi-related poetry; either this article or piphilology could be a good merge and/or redirect target. Cadaeic Cadenza could alternatively be merged to the article about its author, Mike Keith (mathematician). —Kusma (talk) 08:20, 2 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

This article is basically unsourced and I'm afraid instead of merging, I think this and Cadae should be deleted, with the other being merged to the author's article as you suggest. Just Step Sideways from this world ..... today 23:58, 18 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Pilish and Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Cadae were discussed at AfD. The result was to keep Pilish and merge Cadae into it, which I've just done. I'm neutral about whether merging Cadaeic Candenza makes sense; I think it's fine as a separate article but it could equally be a section here. Adam Sampson (talk) 01:27, 31 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
I've added a reference. A merge to Pilish#Cadae or the author, Mike Keith (mathematician), would be a better alternative than deletion. Klbrain (talk) 09:34, 27 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
