What's the etymology?, I wonder.169.139.19.207 (talk) 19:20, 30 August 2011 (UTC) I experienced this myself when I planted water melon back in 1980's. Then I thought it was the affect of the chemical Methyl Parathion, used in treating the seeds before germination. Goldenrod gall

[edit]

The goldenrod growth used as an illustration of phyllody looks like a gall caused by the gall fly, Rhopalomyia solidaginis. See: bugguide.net/node/view/10485/bgimage and www.discoverlife.org/mp/20q?search=Rhopalomyia. --Polinizador (talk) 10:54, 24 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

I think you're right; I'm going to remove it. Doppelbrau (talk) 20:56, 29 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
