Edit request

[edit]

PhonePe is a digital payments company headquartered in Bangalore, India. PhonePe was founded in December 2015[1], by Sameer Nigam, Rahul Chari and Burzin Engineer. The PhonePe app went live in August 2016, and has been built on Unified Payments Interface (UPI).

(Suggestion to add more details on what the PhonePe app lets a user do.)

Unable to review edit request

Your edit request could not be reviewed because it is unclear which references are connected to specific notes in the text of your proposal. When proposing edit requests, it is important to highlight in the text which specific sources are doing the referencing for each note. The point of an inline citation is to allow the reviewer and readers to check that the material is sourced; that point is lost if the citation is not clearly placed. Note the example below:

X markN INCORRECT

The sun is pretty big, but the moon is not so big. The sun is also quite hot.[2]

In the example above there is a note connected to the statement, a number 2 placed in brackets. However, it is unclear which of the two references provided actually link to that reference note. Your edit request similarly places numbered notes within brackets which are disbursed throughout the edit request. But it is unclear which references link to those notes.[a] These links between material and their source references must be more clearly made, as shown in the next example below:

checkY CORRECT

The sun is pretty big,[1] but the moon is not so big.[2] The sun is also quite hot.[3]

  2. ^ Brown, Rebecca. "Size of the Moon", Scientific American, 51(78):46.
  3. ^ Smith, John. The Sun's Heat. Academic Press, 2005, p. 2.

In the example above, the link between the provided references and their notes is perfectly clear. Kindly reformulate your edit request so that it aligns more with the second example above, and feel free to submit that edit request at your earliest convenience. Notes

  1. If text from the article is copied and then pasted into the talk page, this will produce the same result: bracketed numbers within the text, with references unlinked to these note numbers. If your desire is to copy text from the article in order to illustrate which changes should be made, please ensure that it is the Wiki-Formatted text which is being copied and placed on the talk page. This will ensure that the references stay linked to the note numbers.

PhonePe supports Assamese language and not Punjabi currently. Raghavendra.online (talk) 03:38, 9 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. JTP (talkcontribs) 05:17, 9 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
