Hulu series “The Great” error: Peter was played by British actor Nicholas Hoult, not Jason Isaacs, as currently cited. 108.49.16.224 (talk) 02:05, 27 February 2025 (UTC)Reply

Year error

[edit]

Under the great embassy section, at the second photo, the subtitle states the following: "Fleet Manoeuvres Performed on the IJ on 1 September 1797 during Peter's Visit to Amsterdam, painting by Adam Silo (Hermitage)"

Peter died in 1725, and he visited Amsterdam in 1697, not 1797. So instead of 1797 there should be 1697.

Please correct the mistake! 86.127.23.121 (talk) 16:23, 21 April 2025 (UTC)Reply

Why is a 'well-ordered police state' the only thing important enough to go into the first paragraph?

[edit]

Surely almost anything else he did is more famous and relevant, e.g. the defeat of Sweden, the westernization of Russian culture, the founding of Saint Petersburg, etc. It just seems like a very odd choice. ~2025-40557-41 (talk) 02:25, 14 December 2025 (UTC)Reply
