Birth and (possible) death dates

This article is unusual in that it does not give even an approximate idea of Peter Coutts's birth date and whether he has died, and, if so, when. That seems to be especially unusual for someone who was active as recently as the 1980s. Are these details really unknown? Surely at least approximate years must be known?M.J.E.
