Does Equisetum arvense have a persistent strobilus?
[edit]In the article, there are two images of Equisetum arvense that claim it has a persistent strobilus. There is also referenced text to that effect. I don't have access to the given citation but everything I've read so far suggests the claim is not true.
- The article on Equisetum arvense used the word "persistent" in a confusing manner. That article has been rewritten for clarity. Tom Scavo (talk) 21:08, 21 November 2025 (UTC)

- I am unable to find a reliable source that claims any species of Equisetum has a persistent strobilus. In any case, I removed Equisetum arvense from the main article and replaced it with Equisetum prealtum, which has a persistent stem. Tom Scavo (talk) 23:24, 23 November 2025 (UTC)
