Newspaper reports of his death described Ipalook as someone who took daily walks through Kotzebue and became confused and subsequently lost on one such walk. According to these reports, he was last seen on December 24, 1990 and his body was found on December 30. Methinks I know where the December 15 date came from, but it causes suspicion as to why they would ignore sources like that.
