Since when

Unsourced

I have removed the following info from the page since it has been unsourced for a long time, and I never have found any reference of it elsewhere. It was rather big news in Philadelphia at the time; I found an Inquirer reference, although, alas, I couldn't substantiate my favorite detail, the bowling ball bag, in the archive summary available online. Robertissimo 22:49, 12 January 2007 (UTC)

Museum's name

According to today's NYT editorial about the Exhibition on the Silk Road etc., the museum's current name is "Penn Museum." the article makes a point of the name change, but does not give a reference.211.225.30.91 (talk) 12:29, 21 February 2011 (UTC)

I think the website of the museum, which changed to penn.museum, is a pretty good reason to change the lede, which I did. dm (talk) 14:50, 21 February 2011 (UTC)

2009 restructuring

I think the section is overweight for a museum article. At most it's two sentences in a "history" section of which there are no other details yet. Thoughts dm (talk) 14:51, 21 February 2011 (UTC)

I agree, the history section needs to be fleshed out and the 2009 restructuring should be incorporated as a small part of it. Revising this article

Hello Wikipedians! I am a new editor and instructor through Wikipedia Learn, teaching ANTH 420 Museum Anthropology. I've chosen this article to model the editing assignment for my students. I've begun by rewriting and expanding the lead section of the Collections section, and what was formerly the "China" section within it, now titled the "Asia" section.
