what is it in plain English?
[edit]I find both Payne effect and dynamic modulus articles kinda hard to understand. Isn't there a simpler explanation of this issue? I read that Payne effect is attributed to breaking of filler (usually carbon black) structure. Mullin's effect, however, is caused by breaking cross-link between filler and elastomer.
