This article's coverage of the right to choose a provider stops at 2014. It does not mention adult ADHD or autism assessment, where the right is most used in practice, nor that from late 2025 several commissioners in England began capping or pausing the funding of that activity. Each commissioner announced this separately and no single body collates it.
Suggested addition to the Exceptions to policy section, wording open to editors:
From late 2025 a number of integrated care boards in England limited or suspended the funding of Right to Choose referrals for adult ADHD and autism assessment, with each commissioner publishing its own position rather than a national announcement.
