Add topicLate 15th c. parokhet in Padua Synagogue
[edit]In the text, the claim of the oldest parochet seems in odds with information given by Prof. Walter B. Denny in his book The Classical Tradition in Anatolian Carpets (ISBN 1-85759-283-2), pages 53–55: "An even more astonishing discovery was made in recent years. The Italian carpet historian Alberto Boralevi found, in the possession of a synagogue in Padua in northern Italy, a parokhet in sajjadah size and format. [- -]", and photo caption "Fig. 20 Parokhet carpet from the Padua Synagogue, probably Egypt or Italy, late 15th century". --Jtuohini (talk) 14:09, 17 May 2021 (UTC)
