i wont add that "The name Paraska Plytka-Horytsvit consists of her birth name and a pseudonym. Paraska is a Ukrainian variant of the name Paraskeva, derived from the Greek Paraskeuē (Παρασκευή), meaning "preparation" or "Friday", often associated with Saint Paraskeva in Eastern Orthodox tradition.
Plytka is her family surname, while Horytsvit (Ukrainian: Горицвіт) is a pseudonym she adopted as an artist. The word Horytsvit refers to the Adonis s vernalis flower, known for its bright yellow blossoms and native to the Carpathian region. The name symbolically reflects her connection to Hutsul nature, spirituality, and poetic worldview.
Some researchers interpret the pseudonym as a metaphor for resilience and beauty rooted in the mountains, aligning with her ascetic lifestyle and artistic legacy." stop delite my contribution 185.176.112.55 (talk) 23:17, 18 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
