Copyright problem
[edit]This article has been revised as part of the large-scale clean-up project of a massive copyright infringement on Wikipedia. Earlier text must not be restored, unless it can be verified to be free of infringement. For legal reasons, Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions must be deleted. Contributors may use sources as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences or phrases. Accordingly, the material may be rewritten, but only if it does not infringe on the copyright of the original or plagiarize from that source. Please see our guideline on non-free text for how to properly implement limited quotations of copyrighted text. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously.
For more information on this situation, which involved a single contributor liberally copying material from print and internet sources into several thousand articles, please see the two administrators' noticeboard discussions of the matter, here and here, as well as the the cleanup task force subpage. Thank you. --Geronimo20 (talk) 02:21, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
Changes regarding existing information
[edit]Thanks for the great efforts made by the previous editors. After reviewing, I've made the following changes to this page: deleted repeated information in the lead section, corrected one mistake about geographic distribution, inserted 2 images, added 2 sections about sensory systems and habitat detection/choice, and fixed the issue that some existing sections lack citations. Review
[edit]Hello,
Great job with this entry. I made a few changes regarding some redundancies that I found both in the introduction and the reproduction strategy and reproduction period and combined those two under "Reproduction strategy". I also deleted the research section that states that there is nothing use of this species for research as I found a few papers that discuss chromatophore structure and also salinity tolerance that could be used for a research section. Again, great job! Ahdabeck (talk) 03:31, 13 April 2026 (UTC)
Peer Review
[edit]I really enjoyed the overall writing of this article! The different sections of the article were all separated by individual headings with very small paragraphs. It made the side scroll bar clunky to read, so I turned a handful of the headings into subheadings, putting them under the umbrella of “Ecology” as a main heading. There were some typos and sentences that could be better consolidated in the “Appearance” section, so I fixed that. Cooldude945 (talk) 19:54, 25 April 2026 (UTC)
