Political slang term in Northern Ireland

The term "Paisely" has a particular meaning in (or with regard to) the modern politics of Northern Ireland, and appears in this sense in the title of a number of books on Ulster and the Troubles. This should be covered somewhere, and probably already is at least in a section we can link to. I don't know enough about the subject to write a definition if we don't (I could look it up on various sites or in various books, but there's a strong chance of missing nuance or otherwise getting it wrong; someone from NIr should probably take care of this). 2001:5A8:4260:3100:F4B9:418:81F5:DF64 (talk) 02:22, 13 March 2024 (UTC)

I agree, I think simply adding Ian Paisley to the names section would be reasonable as he is often referred to by his surname alone, e.g. the book Paisley: Religion and Politics in Northern Ireland by Steve Bruce. I will add it now. Iacobndg (talk) 15:59, 10 January 2025 (UTC)
