ByteRun1 compression

I don’t know if it is exactly the same but it seems to be so: see the amigadev page. The ByteRun1 encoding was introduced by Amiga’s IFF/ILBM file format. So was Apple or Commodore the first? It should be mentioned here that ByteRun1 is the same thing (if it really is).

Also appears to be used in PDF where it's called RunLengthDecode, and the 128/-128 value is instead used for an end-of-data indicator. 50.68.13.81 (talk) 05:10, 31 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
