Mentions of Cascadia in intro body
[edit]I've removed the parts of the intro that say that the Pacific Northwest is "also known as Cascadia." Pacific Northwest is the WP:COMMONNAME, and no reliable sources list the one as being the same as the other. Horse.staple (talk) 15:51, 27 April 2025 (UTC)
Inconsistent Sigfigs for Metropolitan Area Populations
[edit]When we're first listing the four highest population metropolitan areas, Seattle, Portland, and Vancouver have populations of _._ million, with one or two significant figures listed (millions place & hundred-thousands place), but then Boise & Spokane have a full value down to the ones place, which stands out against the preceding less specific values.
I know this is super nitpicky but it feels like smth that would have some precedent rulings that someone might know of. Is there? Imo it'd read better, and in context it wouldn't really be removing info from that section.
The Northwest Rampage should be added back here.

Coverage lasted about 3 years. Wasn’t fleeting news. Holly Ann is on Wikipedia as well listed in notable prisoners. https://www.ksl.com/article/news/us/david-pedersen-pleads-guilty-in-nw-killing-rampage/29603321 Evidence trial lasted for 3 years, ButteyFelicity (talk) 19:00, 5 May 2026 (UTC)
- If you think you can establish notability for a stand-alone article on the murders, go for it, but I don't agree that they are significant to this article. Schazjmd (talk) 19:17, 5 May 2026 (UTC)
- I can try. I mainly added it here since If I remember something it went “Not all things need an article” and can be put on an existing one. But I can try. How do you make another sandbox? ButteyFelicity (talk) 19:22, 5 May 2026 (UTC)
