Removal of text 21-03-08

I have removed a large amount of text - I think this was previously removed by another editor, and then re-added be copying the article text while viewing the page (not the editing-box text). The reason I have done this is because it seems to be a rather promotional tract regarding a number of people with no connection other than coming from this town. It is common enough to have a "notable people" section, but it is usually brief and contains a list of people with links to their own articles which was not the case here. The article is a one-line stub and is completely overwhelmed by the other material which contains no substantive information about the town. I have had a look for more information which could be added to the article without success so far, the 2 local government websites linked from the district's article do not mention the town, and the district's article is, itself, brief. I will continue looking, but in the meantime, I do not feel the "personalities" section is appropriate or useful in it's current form and will leave a message for the person who added it.--Kateshortforbob 18:50, 22 March 2008 (UTC)

Again stuff had been added, most of which appears to be not about the town, but the surrounding area - and appears to have been copy pasted. I have rewritten the article and added a ref. Could do with some more info though.Pahari Sahib 19:59, 15 February 2009 (UTC)

It is not the surrounding as you believe but same vicinity. Perhaps you have not been there, I have been and know the geography of the area well. Hence, I am sorry not to agree with you on that score. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Graduate1983 (talk • contribs) 00:46, 16 February 2009 (UTC)
