The "Cyclops Intruder Detector" was in the May 1968 issue of Popular Electronics (pages 41-44). The official PAiA web site has June 1967 which is an error.

"PAiA" — origin

[edit]

"PAiA", iirc, is an Hawai'ian name (or word?); apparently, Mr. Simonton spent some time there, or at least, was there long enough to be impressed by at least some of its culture. The small "i" is very likely just his way of creating a distinctive trademark; it surely doesn't look like a part of their language.
