Ambiguity

[edit]

I have come across the term one stop shop in a much wider context than the one described in the article. In particular, in the context of eGovernment the term is used to denote the provision of (mostly – but not only – electronic) services to citizens focusing on the citizens' needs and not on the organisational structure of the public administration. I am willing to write a stub on this, but I cannot do this right now. How should this be handled? Rentzepopoulos (talk) 14:18, 18 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Indeed, "one-stop shop" is a common idiom in American English (at least), denoting ease of access to multiple goods or services. Is this article intended to be about a specific (proper noun) term or is it an article about the concept? --SFoskett (talk) 22:17, 6 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

As a person living outside the UK I highly praise this kind of short and instructive WIKI PEDIA - encyclopedia articles for they give information which cannot be found elsewhere - e g Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary etc. Well done. There is also remarkable sound quality of some of these short and content crammed words - one stop shop with alliteration, which I like very much. Thank you Mr Haworth. --Capekm (talk) 01:57, 1 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
