Mixed up?

[edit]

This doesn't make sense:

All Power Macs include an emulated 68LC040 core that runs inside a nanokernel; this nanokernel/emulator combination is then used to boot the (predominantly 68k-based) Toolbox, and is also used to support applications written for the 68k. Once Mac OS is running, 68k machines can boot into the Toolbox directly.

Shouldn't that be:

Once Toolbox is running all machines can boot into MacOS?

Also if it's Toolbox (capital T) it should then not be called "The Toolbox" i.e once MacOS is running we can run the Photoshop? No! 99.153.162.173 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 08:29, 16 September 2010 (UTC).Reply

Distinguishing

[edit]

How would one distinguish if a ROM image file is one from a New World ROM or an Old World ROM ? XApple 16:41, 9 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

You should see the Happy/Sad Mac. If monochrome, it is Old World, if color, it is New World.
Or if you can't find USB port on Mac. then it also Old World ROM.

Not true. Beige G3s, for example, used color icons despite being Old World machines.  Preceding unsigned comment added by Some Person (talkcontribs) 05:06, 26 July 2013
