Why not merge this article into partition coefficient and make this a redirect?
[edit]This article seems to me to be written in very technical language, without much discussion of the real-world applications. There is another article at partition coefficient which is much more complete. Any extra which may be covered here could be incorporated there. Why not merge these two at partition coefficient? Please add to the discussion at Talk:Partition_coefficient#Merger_proposal:_Merge_Octanol-water_partition_coefficient_into_this_article, to keep the discussion in one place.
