Nuisance Raid
[edit]Nuisance Raids were carried out by both Axis and Allied air forces during World War Two. There purpose is many; to keep the air-raid sirens going night after night to wear out the civilian population, to seek out and damage/destroy targets of opportunity and to distract military defenses away from the main targets of a bombing raid in another area of the country under attack.
