Stevenson quote

The article quotes Robert Louis Stevenson's An Inland Voyage (but it's sourced from a different book, specifically The Cathedrals of Northern France by Francis Miltoun, published by T. Werner Laurie, London, 1894). The given quote doesn't match the same passage as given in the The Gutenberg Project's edition. The article has:

stating it has "the happiest inspiration of mankind, a thing as specious as a statue at first glance, yet on examination, as lively and interesting as a forest in detail…. I sat outside of my hotel and the sweet groaning thunder of the organ floated out of the church like a summons ".

Gutenberg has:

Mankind was never so happily inspired as when it made a cathedral: a thing as single and specious as a statue to the first glance, and yet, on examination, as lively and interesting as a forest in detail.

He is writing about his love of cathedrals in general here, not specifically about Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Noyon. Then six sentences and a paragraph break, and finally:

As I sat outside of the hotel in the course of the afternoon, the sweet groaning thunder of the organ floated out of the church like a summons.

Should this be adjusted to the original, or is it perhaps based on a different edition where the text appears verbatim as quoted from Miltoun? Maybe there should be no quote at all, but just a mention of the mention. ---Sluzzelin talk 18:22, 8 July 2025 (UTC)
