November 26: Thanksgiving in the United States (2026); Feast day of Saint Sylvester Gozzolini (Catholicism); Constitution Day in India (1949) Explosion on HMS Bulwark 1835 – Texas Revolution: Texian forces attacked a Mexican pack train, capturing 40 saddlebags of grass. 1914 – A large internal explosion destroyed HMS Bulwark near Sheerness, killing 741 people on board. 1940 – The Iron Guard killed 64 political detainees at a penitentiary near Bucharest and followed up with several high-profile assassinations, including that of former Romanian prime minister Nicolae Iorga. 1942 – A riot involving infantrymen, military police, and local law enforcement officers killed three people in Phoenix, Arizona. 2008 – A coordinated group of shooting and bombing attacks across Mumbai began, ultimately killing 175 people and wounding more than 300 others. Move the Chosin date back to 27th

The Chinese attack on Chosin did not start until the night of 27th, per Roy Appleman's work on Escaping the Trap: The US Army X Corps in Northeast Korea, 1950. This should be corrected. Jim101 (talk) 05:05, 31 August 2009 (UTC)

Mumbai attacks

@Deb: Do you think we should be mentioning it both in the events section and the deaths section? I was about to remove it from the deaths section but wanted your thoughts. Kees08 (Talk) 07:57, 26 November 2019 (UTC)

No, I don't. We could name the notable dead in the entry for the event but I expect we will end up with people re-adding it under the deaths (and vice versa). But I would support the idea of removing it from Deaths.Deb (talk) 09:00, 26 November 2019 (UTC)
