A recent edits by @Dclemens1971 claimed that "sources exist", but did not add any. A claim is also made for strong reviews, but again no evidence for this is provided. Last, a claim is made that he has a strong h-factor, also point made by @Kvng. This also is not definitive at 35. He is one of many on two papers which are well cited, but the rest are less so. Currently claims fail Wikipedia:PROVEIT, particularly as they have been quoted as the basis for removing notability questioning and PROD. Please edit the page to verify your claims. @Ldm1954 I never made a claim about strong reviews; that is inaccurate. I made a claim about multiple reviews each of multiple books. Pathways to Success was reviewed in Oryx and Community Ecology. Measures of Success was reviewed in Biodiversity and Wild Earth. There may be even more; generally, authoring multiple books that have each been reviewed in multiple peer-reviewed journals is sufficient to pass WP:NAUTHOR. As a result, I'd appreciate it if you would either (1) revert your notability tag or (2) take it to AfD promptly if you believe this is not an NAUTHOR pass. (I also have to say I find it mildly amusing you are rejecting an NACADEMIC#1 claim for an environmental scientist with an H-index of 35 when you recently argued for an NACADEMIC#1 pass on someone whose h-index is 4.:) ) Dclemens1971 (talk) 04:19, 5 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
WP:PROVEIT please in the article, particularly as you contested the notability claim. At present there is no proof that he even finished his PhD. Formally those statements should be removed. Ldm1954 (talk) 04:31, 5 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
I didn’t write the article; I don’t care one way or another about this subject. My job as a new page reviewer is to assess notability, and I assess it as passing. If you disagree, feel free to AfD it. But that’s what the “sources exist” tag is meant to signal—We do not burden new page reviewers with an obligation to spend time cleaning up every page they review.
