Updating infobox numbers

[edit]

Hello, I'm a NerdWallet employee continuing the work a previous colleague did back in 2023. I'll be following the same rules and procedures, posting edit requests on this Talk page and working with the community in order to improve the company article and bring it up to date. I won't direct edit unless explicitly instructed to do so by an independent editor.

With that preamble out of the way, I'd like to request a simple update to this article's infobox. The numbers in there are from 2022 and I've got a FY2025 10-K with fresh figures. They are as follows:

  • Revenue = $836.6 million (2025)
  • Operating income = $96 million (2025)
  • Net income = $48.7 million (2025)
  • Total assets = $461.1 million (2025)
  • Total equity = $374.5 million (2025)
  • Employees = 650 (2025)[1]

Thank you in advance to whoever takes on this request! NM at NerdWallet (talk) 18:24, 16 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

Thank you so much for fixing the Talk page formatting and archiving the past discussions, User:Zinnober9! As you saw, I was struggling with how to do that, so I appreciate your help and the notes that you gave in the edit summaries. Is this request something you'd also be willing to help with? NM at NerdWallet (talk) 17:07, 25 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
You are welcome. Quirky things tend to throw the strangest errors at times. I don't fulfill edit requests, as that isn't my editing interest or expertise, but I don't blame you for asking me since it's still an open request and I've been the only other editor to pass through since then. I hope your request is reviewed soon. Best wishes, Zinnober9 (talk) 18:47, 25 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
Question: I was about to make the change, but I noticed that the 2025 10-K form appears to show a 65.2 million operating income instead of 96 million. It looks like the 96 million amount is a non-GAAP figure. I compared the current article to the 2022 10-K and it currently uses GAAP figures only. As I'm not too familiar with accounting, I might leave this request to someone else, but I just wanted to question if the 96 million GAAP figure should really be used here. That's a good catch, User:FlammablePizza. Apologies, I wasn't trying to inflate our numbers; I just pulled the wrong one. (I'm not an accounting expert either!) I do think $65.2 million is the right figure. It's in the exact same place in the 2025 10-K as the negative number is in the 2022 one. I would appreciate if you would approve this request and update the infobox, but I understand why you're a bit trepidatious. Do whatever you feel comfortable with! Thanks, NM at NerdWallet (talk) 13:29, 1 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
Done , looks like all the numbers are now updated. FlammablePizza (talk) 13:48, 1 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

Request to add recent acquisitions to History

[edit]

Hello! I noticed that the History section is a bit lacking in information about the company over the past few years. NerdWallet has made a couple of newsworthy acquisitions, which have grown the business in meaningful ways, so I'm going to propose two new sentences here, to be placed at the end of the History:

In October 2024, NerdWallet bought the brokerage firm Next Door Lending. NerdWallet claimed that the acquisition would allow them to offer better guidance to users shopping for mortgages.[1][2] In June 2025, NerdWallet expanded its wealth management services through its acquisition of Future You Wealth.[3]

I hope I've done well here, but if not, please leave me a comment below and I'll do my best to address your concern. Thank you in advance to anyone who jumps in! NM at NerdWallet (talk) 18:55, 16 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

Done implemented the two acquisitions, however the second sentence seemed too vague to add at this time. Heartmusic678 (talk) 19:53, 16 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

Request to update sentence in Administration section

[edit]

Hey again! With the History now updated, I'd like to request a small modification to the Administration section. All three of Lauren StClair, Kevin Yuann, and Lynee Luque have moved on from the company. We have a new CFO named John Lee. So I'm suggesting that the first paragraph of the section read like this:

Tim Chen is the CEO and co-founder of NerdWallet.[1][2] The company's CFO is John Lee [3] As of January 2026, the company had 650 employees.[4]

All that would change is the second sentence. I included the other ones just for context. I'll now step aside and let independent editors do their thing. Thanks! NM at NerdWallet (talk) 20:38, 21 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
