Can we figure out when and where (and maybe how?) Neil Breen was born?  Preceding unsigned comment added by Musomino (talkcontribs) 03:02, 29 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

I don't want to know how he was born. I'm guessing it involves aliens. 2604:2D80:5503:AF00:2DCC:A2CE:1B28:7D11 (talk) 08:15, 15 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Redirect to Fateful Findings

I have redirected the page due to the absence of any reliably sourced content that does not duplicate that found on Fateful Findings. The Uninvited Co., Inc. 19:33, 4 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

re: photo

[edit]

would be nice to get a photo of mr. breen where his eyes are open 71.232.186.102 (talk) 17:05, 7 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

Me personally, I think the current photo in its utter ugliness and amateurishness captures the essence of Mr. Breen perfectly. -- Imladros (talk) 18:28, 23 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
Agreed fully, this is how he provides pictures of himself, this needs to stay. 99.235.226.57 (talk) 05:26, 1 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
This is something more in line with Encyclopedia Dramætica or the Uncyclopedia than the clean and clinical* presentation of the Wikipedia. I would rather have a boring picture on the Wikipedia and maybe a link to the the artistic depiction of him on the more interesting Encyclopedia Dramætica or the Uncyclopedia.

A "better" photo defeats the whole point. I applaud whomever chose this photo because it's absolutely perfect for Breen's legacy and in line with the tone of his films. Bravo! 👏  Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.11.165.99 (talk) 06:22, 7 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
Wikipedia shouldn't attempt to "artistic" with the choice of picture. It should give a respectful accurate representation of what the person looks like. Please, someone get a better picture! --2601:1C2:1A00:5AF0:A037:B9B1:7A96:2188 (talk) 19:53, 4 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
Oh hell no. This captures Breen's essence perfectly. *chef's kiss* 169.226.208.120 (talk) 18:51, 15 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
nope, this is a perfect picture Rhn94 (talk) 15:30, 13 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
I agree. It's childish having a stupid picture just this guy is a questionable director 178.197.210.184 (talk) 22:40, 9 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
I think it's perfect, given the subject matter. Totally agree with Imladros -Fogelmatrix (talk) 16:19, 24 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
Please use a better picture. It's off-putting and the reader should not be surprised to see a picture of someone with their eyes shut. Tyrone Madera (talk) 04:34, 16 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
Pitching into this half-a-decade-old discussion to say that yes, obviously, a better picture is needed. Regardless of what we might think of the quality of his movies, it seems obvious that a Wikipedia infobox should strive to portray someone in the most neutral and informative way, not as a shitpost. (Henriquedematos (talk) 13:15, 6 July 2026 (UTC))Reply
Can anyone actually offer a better photo which has a Creative Commons license? Despite some joking by people on this talk page, the current photo was not chosen out of fun, but because it is the only photo which had the correct copyright, as it was uploaded by a volunteer. Unless someone actually presents a viable alternative photo, this discussion leads nowhere. Applodion (talk) 14:11, 6 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

DOP?

[edit]

Perhaps I'm dumb, but what is "Dop" in the filmography table? If it's an acronym for "Director of Photography," which I suspect it is, I've temporarily all caps'd it. If "dop" is a real word however, perhaps it should be clarified somewhere. George Mucus (talk) 01:34, 20 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Date of Birth

[edit]

Neil was born in 1946 according to a yearbook. 2603:6080:5D00:2562:32FC:EBFF:FE13:87D8 (talk) 19:32, 13 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

That kid on the right sure looks like him. 2603:6080:5D00:2562:25F9:8413:5686:472A (talk) 22:49, 4 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
Is that before years of hacking into corporate files? I think the internet is split between 46 or 58, with Neil himself claiming he is way younger, which is complete BS. I guess we just need to wait for the Breenius himself to actually confirm it or not. TheSupremeMoron (talk) 23:15, 4 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

Film Pages

[edit]

I am curious but why do only Fateful Findings, Twisted Pair and Cade have their own pages while the rest of his films don't? Is it becuase of the significance and recognition those 3 films have gotten or? TheSupremeMoron (talk) 22:39, 16 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Lost Breen Films?

[edit]

I stumbled upon this on Reddit the other day (https://www.reddit.com/r/NeilBreen/comments/1h9sf21/possible_3_missing_breen_moviesplay/) which seems to show 3 Breen films that are missing. According to the post, "Lawless Obsession" is copyrighted for a Videocassette, meaning that it may have been a Breen film that predates Double Down. Im wondering whether or not to add this to his filmography. TheSupremeMoron (talk) 13:30, 12 January 2025 (UTC)Reply

We can only add these if reliable sources mention the missing films. As far as I can see, however, no reliable sources have confirmed the films' existence, thus we cannot add them as of now. Applodion (talk) 16:58, 12 January 2025 (UTC)Reply

The Breensites

[edit]

As you maybe aware, Neil Breen has individual websites for his films (and his 5 film retrospective):

www.FatefulFindings.biz

www.Pass-Thru-Film.com

www.twisted-pair-film.com

cade-crossing.com

https://neilbreen-5films.com

Would it be appropriate to put them all in the infobox or leave as is? TheSupremeMoron (talk) 12:57, 28 September 2025 (UTC)Reply

I do not think its appropriate to list all of those links in the infobox, as the film articles already use the respective links. 2601:901:4301:EED0:D817:ECFD:2515:748E (talk) 04:02, 3 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
