Prof Kasinathan and I have developed a new model for narcissism, suggesting that all symptoms of narcissism can be explained by a desire to feel superior to others. Our motivation for the article was to help reduce narcissism by finding a unifying explanation that could help people better understand the concept. I think we have been able to do this. The article has been published in the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatry's journal Australasian Psychiatry. It is a highly reputable journal (not a predatory journal). We have published it open access (without paywall) though partnership with the University of New South Wales.
