Detachable
[edit]The article says, "When a power feed cord is detachable from an RV, an L5-30P is usually used on the RV end of the cord. " That is hard to believe. Almost certainly, at the RV end of the cord the connector would be a female ("receptacle" - "R").
I think today typical RVs (except the largest) have a TT-30P on the RV body, so the cord would have a TT-30R at the RV end. Doug Kerr
- First, instead of writing your name, put in four tilde's. WP will then put in your name, date, and time.
- Otherwise I suspect you are right, though it depends on how exactly you read the statement.
- Even though it doesn't seem like it, it could mean the trailer side of the connection. This is a general problem when describing connectors, where it is sometimes easier to describe in terms of the mating connector. Gah4 (talk) 00:37, 31 October 2022 (UTC)
NEMA 24

Table Listings - Missing: Hot-Hot-Ground-Neutral used by L14-20

Blade angles wrong in 'NEMA receptacle chart'
[edit]The images of some receptacles, the 10-30R for example, show the flat blades at a 90° angle to each other whereas the image file NEMA_simplified_pins.svg at the top of the NEMA_connector#Nomenclature section shows them at a narrower angle, approximately 60°. Looking up this connector on the web also shows the blades at that narrower angle.
Add Taiwan to list of countries that use the plug?
[edit]The list of nations that use the standard includes Canada, Mexico, and Japan. Taiwan also uses the standard, under BSMI standard CNS 690 for the NEMA 5-15 plugs, but I cannot find an English source directly from them readily on the internet.
