The rationale behind the request is: Muhammad Ali Jinnah was important as convincing the british to divide India for the Muslim, although he had always believed that Hindu-Muslim unity was possible, Jinnah reluctantly came to the view that partition was necessary to safeguard the rights of Indian Muslims. His insistence on this issue through negotiations with the British government resulted in the partition of India and the formation of the state of Pakistan on 14 August 1947. I think we should write his titles (specifically 'Quaid-e-Azam', by which most Pakistanis refer to him as) in the top lede. Compare it to other modern founders of countries, it only seems right to do so.
@FinallyAUser: We already have those right there in the WP:lead, not just in the first para. And this actually follows MOS:BIO. There is a reason this is an WP:FA and WP:VITAL article with a lead achieved through much consensus per our guidelines, your recent edits violated quite a few of those and I have reverted them (for the lead at least). Please gain WP:CONSENUS here for whatever changes you propose, but I hazard that they are unlikely to pass for as against P&G they are. Gotitbro (talk) 23:03, 12 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

@User:Wehwalt, I understand your reasoning for removing my edit about him being gifted a Rolls-Royce by Elizabeth II. However, I'm not sure why you keep reverting this. Because you are not leaving adequate citations. If you change text, you must have a citation. And your invocation of Elizabeth II makes me concerned that even where you say it is covered by existing citations, I want more evidence. Additionally, I feel that the text in that area does not require expansion.
