Motorcycle Kit

[edit]

Lede has been changed to include the allegedly-English term "kit". See my comments at Motorcycle personal protective equipment#Required PPE.--Rocknrollmancer (talk) 19:47, 15 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

About the word 'gear'...

[edit]

Further to the section above, I recently chanced upon the folk song She Moved Through the Fair. Although I vaguely knew of it for many years, and although there is variation in lyrics, researching this further provided a fan-site carrying a link to allegedly a 1951 recording, using the words "...and I smiled as she passed me, with her goods and her gear...". I'll continue to be conscious for any other dated useage.--Rocknrollmancer (talk) 21:13, 5 October 2021 (UTC)Reply
