Italian Moresche as African caricatures?

I cannot provide any reference (I hope I will find somenthing later on), but I heard from a Moresca performer that Moresca songs were performed by African slaves in Naples, who created a genre that mixed African and Italian popular music, using a language that included African words. -- Andrea Domenici ~2026-35178-82 (talk) 07:46, 15 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
