Where was "Bartlett" or "Fanny Bartlett" station? It seems to have been east of Wainscott. --NE2 21:24, 15 February 2007 (UTC)

I've seen two stations named Bartlett on old maps, but I believe the one you're talking about is here; East of Promised Land and West of Napeauge Beach stations. ----DanTD (talk) 04:35, 4 September 2009 (UTC)

Ridgewood?

The link in the full station list to Ridgewood station redirects to Wantagh (LIRR station). I highly doubt that this the intention. Larry V (talk | e-mail) 05:15, 13 December 2007 (UTC)

UPDATE -- Judging by what I've read so far about the Ridgewood Station you're thinking of, it might've been on the Manhattan Beach Branch and replaced by the DeKalb Avenue (BMT Canarsie Line). Jim Crow on the LIRR

According to the 1990 book "The Long Island Railroad in Early Photographs" by Ron Zeil, Wainscott Station was a segregated railroad station with Whites Only & Blacks Only facilities, in spite of the fact that segregation was illegal in New York State. NY 27 but not Sunrise Highway

Here's an incorrect quote on this article:

"1998 saw the closure of three lightly used stations: Center Moriches, Quogue, and Southampton College. Southampton College was temporarily reinstated in 2004, complete with a steel walkway over Sunrise Highway to the Shinnecock Hills Golf Club, during the U.S. Open (golf) tournament."

The section of New York State Route 27 near the Shinnecock Hills Golf Club and former Southampton College Station is not Sunrise Highway, because Sunrise Highway was truncated west of there at Suffolk County Road 39, which it overlaps until just north of Montauk Highway. ----DanTD (talk) 02:45, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

Wrong station locations

Looks like all the station distances from NY Penn are a couple miles off. The MTA page says Jamaica is 9.3 miles from NY Penn, so the article says that, but Jamaica is actually Milepost 9.3, where Milepost 0 is the ferry terminal at Long Island City. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:644:680:43D0:BC23:1B58:430F:76E8 (talk) 16:18, 9 August 2020 (UTC)

LIC station trackage/Listing of Stations

I think it's misleading having the LIC terminus not greyed out, as the Montauk tracks leading to the station are not in commuter use; any train that arrives at this station did so via the Main Line. As it is now, someone not familiar with the route may think a train is simply skipping the greyed out stations to get to LIC, never mind that the current trains also stop at Hunterspoint, which is not even in this chart.
