[edit]The guide number of a studio flash is largely a meaningless number, as it completely depends on the accessoire(s) (reflector, softbox etc) mounted onto the unit. Read this , paragraph on Guide numbers. Jeroen74 (talk) 22:41, 11 August 2008 (UTC)
- Agree that there are certain things that can modify guide numbers, but it seems like flashes of all sorts are being marketed to a certain extent based on guide number and/or power. DoubleVibro (talk) 18:27, 2 September 2008 (UTC)
