Truly terrible article

The article might be acceptable if it included a definition of its subject.

But it does not.

Description of difficult to understand

The section Elliptic modulus begins as follows:

"The function λ*(x) gives the value of the elliptic modulus k, for which the complete elliptic integral of the first kind K(k) and its complementary counterpart $K\left({\sqrt {1-k^{2}}}\right)$ are related by following expression:

${\frac {K\left[{\sqrt {1-\lambda ^{*}(x)^{2}}}\right]}{K[\lambda ^{*}(x)]}}={\sqrt {x}}$"

Is that really the clearest definition of λ*(x) that can be given?

It seems that λ*(x) is just defined as the solution to an entirely unmotivated equation, leaving the reader completely puzzled over why the next 100+ lines of the article should be devoted to obscure properties of this obscure function.
