Should Mitzpe Hila go in the category "cities in israel" or "settlements in israel"? Rest 23:44, 29 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Sorry- very new to wikipedia- don't know where to put this but the link to the community website leads to a p*rn site... not sure who to notify about this but I am guessing this isn't the correct url. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.29.196.121 (talk) 08:00, 1 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

The transliteration

[edit]

Why the spelling "Hila" and not "Hilla"? Is this really an "official" spelling? The Hebrew word has a dagesh in the "l", so is traditionally doubled in transliteration, so should be "Hilla". The dagesh is part of the semitic root, "HLL" (whose underlying meaning is "shine"), so it is of symbolic significance. 87.69.227.74 (talk) 07:21, 14 December 2014 (UTC)Reply
