What is a weight?

[edit]

Wikipedia article should be understandable to generally educated people. This means that specialized terms should be explained (or linked to). The word "weight" is used without introduction or explanation. What does it mean in this context? Kdammers (talk) 20:01, 16 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

No reason to have separate models and performance sections

[edit]

There is no reason to have separate sections for models and their performance. I propose that the performance section be merged into the model section. I'll implement this immediately. 117.194.206.67 (talk) 18:40, 15 May 2025 (UTC)Reply

Pronunciation of "Le Chat"

[edit]

Le Chat:

the company announced updates for Le Chat (pronounced /lə tʃat/ in French)

This article from Le Monde, a leading mainstream French newspaper, says that Le Chat should be pronounced like the feline: /lə ʃa/.

Baptisé Le Chat (à prononcer comme le petit félin)

The pronunciation /lə tʃat/ would be possible if the word refers to the Anglicism “Chat” (see Wiktionary), which is commonly used in Chatbot.

To be explored further…

I just asked Le Chat itself. Of course I am aware that this is no proper source for Wikipedia, but I thought the answer is interesting:
How is "Le Chat" pronounced? Like the french word for cat, or is it an Anglicism coming from "chat"bot?
"Le Chat" is pronounced just like the French word for "cat"—/lə ʃa/ (roughly "luh shah" in English). The name is a playful nod to both the French language and the idea of a conversational assistant, but it’s not an anglicism from "chatbot." It’s meant to sound natural in French while also being recognizable internationally. ~2026-13944-0 (talk) 15:51, 7 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
