...part of it has a citation to an LATImes article I can't access because I don't have subscription. Sometimes they add Borax to kill the maggots, but you cannot use again as fermenting agent."...doesn't have a citation and seems hoax-y?? It is also at odds with the description in the "preparation" section, where it is said that the ingredients are dumped together and then put into a sealed jar. Like Ancient Cheese?
