the meaining of Millares names

It seems that the Millares name has been embedded very much into Spanish history, having seen some of its sites in the south and north of Spain. Does anyone know the roots of the Millares? Is it purely a coincidence that Millares' name seems to be quite a rooted name in this country? If someone can help to gain more official information, it would be amazing. Thanks.
