Edit Request - 2026 updates

[edit]

Conflict of interest disclosure: I am the subject of this article (or am posting on his behalf). Per WP:COI I am requesting these updates on the talk page rather than editing directly. All proposed text is sourced to independent coverage.

Requested update 1 — Figure section, append after the September 2025 IPO sentence:

In March 2026, Figure surpassed $1 billion in monthly loan originations for the first time, reporting $2.9 billion of originations in the first quarter of 2026 and approaching $30 billion cumulatively."Mike Cagney's second act: Turning blockchain into Wall Street's new plumbing". CoinDesk. May 3, 2026. By May 2026, YLDS, Figure's interest bearing stablecoin registered with the SEC as a public security, had reached approximately $600 million in balances.Same CoinDesk citation.

Requested update 2 — current role wording (infobox and lead if needed):

Confirm the article describes the subject's current role as co-founder and executive chairman of Figure Technology Solutions (Nasdaq: FIGR), consistent with current coverage."Figure's Mike Cagney Outlines Potential SPAC Strategy". Crowdfund Insider. May 2026.

I am the subject of this article (or am posting on his behalf) Sigh. Please read WP:AITALK and WP:DISCLOSE. DrOrinScrivello (talk) 12:55, 20 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
Thanks - sorry for the form letter. I'm Mike Cagney, subject of the article, posting for myself. I used an LLM to help draft the original request, but the facts and sources remain the same. The ask is to a.) add Figure's 2026 milestons, including the first $1B in monthly origination in March of 2026, $2.9B origination in Q1 and $4.2B origination in Q2 with over $30B in cumulative origination - all sourced to the CoinDesk piece cited above and an additional reference for Q2 here: https://www.coindesk.com/business/2026/08/13/figure-revenue-doubles-as-blockchain-loan-marketplace-volumes-surge and b.) to update my current role as co-founder and executive chairman. Happy to answer any other questions and sorry for the iteration. Msc88 (talk) 19:24, 20 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
Hi @Msc88, are there references other than Coindesk? Our list of reliable sources notes that Coindesk should not be used to establish notability for article topics, and that it should be avoided in favor of more mainstream sources. Sammi Brie (she/her · t · c) 04:50, 22 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
Ok re: sourcing and one correction from me: Q2 volume was $4.3B, not $4.2B as I wrote above. Sources other than CoinDesk:
For the Q2 numbers, independent coverage from The Block and PYMNTS , and if you'd rather cite the filing directly for the figures, the Q2 10-Q is on EDGAR with the earnings release here .
For my current role (co-founder and executive chairman), Bloomberg's July interview covers it .
If the March monthly-origination milestone doesn't clear the sourcing bar on CoinDesk alone, I'm fine dropping it and just reflecting the quarterly volumes and cumulative total. Whatever sourcing you prefer works for me. Thanks for taking the time on this. Msc88 (talk) 21:11, 22 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
